How is this score determined?
Reviewed by Android Health ClinicAt 300 mg of EPA and DHA per softgel, the dosage is on the low side for general supplementation and clearly lags behind the highest-rated products. The added refined soybean oil brings no substantive added value. A functional basic product, but not distinctive in either dosage or formulation.
What is this useful for?
Omega-3 (EPA and DHA) is one of the few supplements that genuinely adds something for many people: it is useful in a broad sense, especially if you eat little oily fish. If you already eat oily fish twice a week or more, the added value is limited, although extra EPA and DHA won't do any harm even then. When choosing, the amount of EPA and DHA per day matters most: 500 to 1000 mg is adequate for general supplementation, from around 1000 mg excellent. Above 2000 mg per day, caution applies instead: the risk of blood clotting problems and heart rhythm disorders may then increase slightly. (Review: Android Health Clinic.)
